Live Along the Shores of The St Lucie River at Tesoro Preserve
**Only minutes away from Downtown Stuart by Boat**

Tesoro Preserve of the St Lucie River is one of the few places in Florida to experience living on the water the way it used to be—cruising for miles without seeing another soul, where wildlife encounters are more common than boat wakes. Today, this peaceful lifestyle is still available from your very own dock at Tesoro Preserve.
Conveniently located less than an hour north of Palm Beach International Airport, Tesoro Preserve is situated on one of the last stretches of land along the North Fork of the St Lucie River. During the 1950s and 60s, a guide by the name of Bert Pruitt established a successful fishing camp here. Anglers from all around the world came to catch salt and freshwater game fish. Huge tarpon and snook were common as were large-mouth bass, the fish usually associated with lakes and ponds. Later, this area along the river was featured in the James Bond Film “Moonraker.” See Movie Clip. In fact, when Tesoro Preserve was under development in 2004, both the old fishing camp and a wooden bridge where movie scenes were made, still stood as a reminder of its past.
